7 Day

Seven days on beautiful Anguilla — lucky you!

Day 1

Spend the day on a cay.  Sandy Island, Prickly Pear or Scilly Cay. Bring your beach towel, snorkel, have lunch, swim or just simply sunbathe for the day in total tranquility.

In the evening, head out to one of Anguilla’s dozens of restaurants. Anguilla is the gourmet capital of the Caribbean.

Check out The Pumphouse at Sandy Ground.  Locals and visitors gather here, and you can find out what is happening this week.  Dance to some reggae, try the rum punch, then walk across the street and say “hello” to Elvis at Elvis’ beach bar.  Although we’ve yet to hear him sing, the hip-swinging bartender is really the King of Sandy Ground.

Day 2

In the morning, relax…this is Anguilla, the island of hypnotic breezes and near-perfect weather.  There is a natural luxury here that everyone enjoys, whether it is from one of our exclusive private villas or the veranda of your Charming Escape® resort.

At midday explore the island by car or by bike.  Navigating Anguilla is easy.  And if you are up for a challenge, Anguilla’s 18-hole championship golf course, Temenos, is an excellent place to work on your stroke.

Lunch Anguillian style!  Grab some local flavour and satisfy your hunger with a tasty bite from one of our many roadside grills, beach bars or food vans. And since you are in the mood, taste a little of our culture and learn about Anguilla’s boat building history at our local museum, “The Heritage Collection,” or take a sailing lesson with the Anguilla Sail Association. Both kids and adults are welcome.

In the evening check out Rendezvous Bay for dinner. There are several hotel dining options.  Cocktails and lighter fare are available at The Dune Preserve, a hip spot where the beach bar has been crafted from driftwood and the hulls of Anguilla’s colorful racing boats.  If you are lucky, The Dune Preserve’s owner, international reggae star Bankie Banx, will play.

Day 3

Wondering where your next property stay should be? Rent a car and tour our signature luxury properties, Charming Escapes® hotel collection and our private villas.

If you are feeling hungry, grab lunch at any of Anguilla’s roadside grills, barbecues or local stops and dine Anguilla style.

After a hard day of play, revamp and revive yourself with a relaxing spa treatment before you prepare for a seaside candlelit dinner for two!

Day 4

Take the Sandy Ground Tour and learn about the salt ponds and a piece of Anguilla’s history.  The tour takes you around the pond and includes some birdwatching as well. Then catch a day cruise around the island. A day cruise can bring you to Little Bay, Prickly Pear or Shoal Bay.  Lunch on board or on land.

On your way back to your holiday home,  visit a few art galleries.  Both Cheddie’s Carving Studio and Devonish Gallery are directly across from each other in the West End.  Pick up a piece of original artwork, a perfect memento of your time on Anguilla.

Enjoy an evening overlooking Mead’s Bay.  This large expanse of beach is home to a number of Anguilla’s most celebrated restaurants and has an excellent sunset view.

Day 5

Horseback ride along Savannah Bay all morning and then stop at Palm Grove for lunch with Nat and Efie.

Take a ride over to Shoal Bay and spend the afternoon on “The World’s Best Beach.”  With its shabby chic beach bars painted in brilliant colors, music and a casual but A-list kind of scene, Shoal Bay offers water-sports gear, sailing and parasailing lessons, beach umbrellas and awesome sunsets.

Wash the day off and head out to dinner.  With over 100 restaurants and only 7 nights to experience them, choosing where to dine is bound to be the hardest decision you will have to make while on vacation.

Afterward,  go local!  Head to Sandy Ground for some “jump up.”  And if you work up an appetite from all of that dancing, there is always barbecue on the weekends.

Day 6

Early morning, explore the Old Valley.  See our historic buildings and pop into Koal Keel for some French pastries before heading  over to Upper Shoal Bay.

Discover Anguilla’s underwater heritage sight, El Buen Consejo.  This unique dive site showcases anchors, canons and devotional medals once bound for the New World and now part of Anguilla’s living reef.

End the day with a beach-side massage.   Anguilla has a number of world-class spas and spa services.

Dine en suite with one of Anguilla’s private chefs and enjoy the end of the day from the comfort of your villa.

Day 7

Grab your partner and head out early to the Anguilla Tennis Academy.  It’s love or nothing here, with six hard-tru courts, Pros and partners available for play.

Afterward, take a ride into The Valley and visit the Wallblake House, pop into the Anguilla Drug Store for a last minute souvenir, and then lunch at The English Rose.

With one only more day, you simply must choose the beach.  Rendezvous, Shoal, Barnes, Meads – decisions, decisions!

One more elegant dinner and one more stop in Sandy Ground.  Check out Ripples for some last goodbyes.  But no worries, you’ll be returning to Anguilla!
